Introductory book for teaching children the Double Bass. The Yorke Mini-Bass Project has enabled literally hundreds of children to learn, who are now in school and youth orchestras throughout the world. The book is designed for children aged 6-12 and is not intended to be a ‘method’ as such; teaching children is a skill that cannot be learned from printed instructions. Most of the duos in this book can also be played as solos and with the imaginative use of singing, improvisation, movement and percussion, a teacher should be able to develop a child’s reading and expressive ability quite rapidly.
