Description
Trussrod Nut Bullet in Chrome finish features a sleek bullet-style design with a durable chrome finish. Measuring 24 mm in length and 9 mm in diameter, it fits securely with an M5 hole size. It requires a 4 mm wrench.
The “bullet” truss rod was introduced by Fender in 1971, during the CBS era of ownership. It gets its name from the distinctive rounded, bullet-shaped nut that protrudes from the headstock, making it easy to adjust with a hex wrench.
This design was first seen on Stratocasters, Telecasters, and other models starting in the early ’70s. It replaced the original heel-adjust truss rod, which required loosening or removing the neck to adjust.
