This is the Silver SNARK 2. The latest update to the range featuring ‘Hyper-Snark’ tuning software for even faster and more accurate pitch detection, longer battery life, and revamped rubber coating to help isolate and mute microphonic vibrations and interference. It’s also got pitch calibration between 415Hz – 466Hz so you can play with Van Halen if you like.
The tuning display is without doubt the best we’ve seen in this format. The LCD screen is full-colour, bright, clean, and sharp with simple side-to-side needle-type meter which is obvious to anyone using it. Also, although designed for guitar and bass, it’ll give you a reading on almost anything that vibrates, which is super cool – even my drummer tunes his toms with one (not sure which part of that statement is most surprising)!
