This limited edition Joe Bonamassa Skinner Burst dual-humbucker set is the only available replica of the pickups in Joes cherished 1959 Principal Skinner Gibson Les Paul Standard. Their rich, dynamic and nuanced voice will appeal to all tone connoisseurs who seek the passion and power of the original humbucker. Wound on the historic Leesona machine that created humbuckers for Gibson back in the 50s and 60s, the set features an Alnico 3 magnet in the neck pickup and an Alnico 3 in the bridge. Period-correct butyrate bobbins and maple spacers offer a vintage vibe to these pickups. Each of the 800 sets will be hand signed by Seymour W. Duncan and Joe Bonamassa.
Many factors go into the sound of a real 1959 Sunburst Les Paul, but these pickups will get you the clarity and the growl of this guitar without the wallet-busting price tag of an original 1959.
