An institution of children’s television helps children with their musical education: In the three-volume series Klavierspielen mit der Maus (Playing Piano with the Mouse), lovingly illustrated by Imke Kretzmann, the main character of the popular TV show “Sendung mit der Maus” shows both its friend and pupil Bär (Bear) and little piano pupils an imaginative and lively way into the world of music. Volume 3 is aimed at children aged 9+ and, with great ease and in a clearly understandable way, imparts profound knowledge of intervals, chord formation, scale playing, harmony, cadence playing, modulation, rhythm and form theory, thanks to its didactically clever structure, specially selected playing and practice material as well as comments, practice tips and exercises.
