This book presents a selection of play songs and related activities in sensory awareness, movement and dance, voice and language, playing instruments, listening, visualizing, social forms and drama. It is written for pre-school and primary teachers working with children aged 4-9, for music teachers and for teachers working with groups of mixed ability. It aims to widen the repertoire of songs, topics and related activities, to enjoy the experience of singing, moving and playing instruments together as well as to stimulate one’s own creativity to invent new extensions. The wide range of activities for each song enables teachers to work with children of different ages and abilities ensuring that no one is over- or under-challenged and that each child can learn, play and contribute to the whole on his or her own level.
