The problem with the old-style barrel jack is that once the contacts started to wear, you couldn’t do anything about it and it’d crackle, hum or cut-out on you mid-show. Now, thanks to Pure Tone the new barrel jack can be loved by all musicians and techs. More contact area and secure locking socket result in greater signal transfer and a perfect connection.
