Mozart’s Exsultate, Jubilate (K165). This brilliant sacred solo-motet was composed in 1773, when the 16-year-old Mozart was visiting Milan. It was written for the famous castrato, Venanzio Rauzzini, Mozart’s favourite for his operas (Lucio Silla was also written for him).
