Description

This RPS Slinky set uses the standard Slinky nickel-plated wound low strings combined with reinforced plain strings. The lock twist at the ball end is over-wrapped with bronze wire which greatly reduces the chance of the strings slipping or breaking where it’s most common; these strings last longer and stay in tune better than any other plain strings. The length of the string is made with a specially tempered tin-plated high-carbon steel which produces the classic slinky tone.

About the Slinky wound strings… they’re made with a smooth nickel-plated steel wire wrapped around a steel hex core. They have a warm, full sound which brings out more of the mid frequency range compared to other strings and literally feel ‘slinky’ to play – which also won’t wear out frets!
