This is a D’Addario 80/20 bronze acoustic guitar single string; the same found in D’Addario EJ strings sets. Use it to replace a broken string or customise an existing set.

80/20 Bronze is the brighter of the two most popular acoustic alloys. In comparison to phosphor bronze it has brighter and more lively highs, combined with big, sonorous lows with a somewhat reserved midrange. This makes the overall tone bold and clean, often loud and percussive.

The original acoustic guitar strings wrap material, this alloy of 80% copper and 20% zinc is the formula that began a legacy. D’Addario and D’Angelico co-created 80/20 bronze (also know as brass) in the 1930s and as mentioned above this combination creates a heady vibrant, bright, and bold acoustic guitar tone which is favoured by many of the world’s top players.
