Description
Blackwood is an acacia relative which is native to Australia, so tonally it produces the nice chiming resonant sound that you expect from Acacia. It does not have the bassy warmth of Mahogany or the immediacy of Spruce, but like Koa and Asian Acacia, it has a really lovely quite harplike tone which lends itself equally well to strumming or picking.
